Meet Barbara Walsh!!

Barbara Walsh is our January Spotlight Member!

After listening to a North Carolina press conference on Fentanyl and illicit drug legislation in March of 2023, grieving mom Barbara Walsh made it her business to be involved with Drug Induced Homicide.

Barbara saw first hand the number of cases that were not investigated, and has since dedicated herself to help others seek justice and provide much needed support for those who have lost loved ones to lillicit drugs.

Barbara has spent countless hours finding illicit drug victims' families and asking them to

make calls, write letters and visit their senators in all 100 North Carolina counties.

Barbara continues to lead letter writing campaigns and works closely with the Sheriff's Department in an effort to get bills passed in legislation.

Barbara hosts events, rallies, and offers support for investigation and prosecution in the poisoning of a person’s family member.

At the National DEA Summit in Washington DC, Barbara didn't hold back expressing her outrage at the DEA for not inviting Drug Induced Homicide to the table. As the North Carolina Drug Induced Homicide Representative, Barbara says it is her “go‐to organization”.

Thank-you, Barbara, for your courage, dedication and work within Drug Induced Homicide!
